What's It All About

The Helambu region is an ideal introduction to Himalayan trekking; this horseshoe shaped circuit traverses delightful green valleys ascending upto 3700m at it's highpoint, with great views of the high Himalayan ranges that border Tibet. You'll be walking through Rhododendron forests and alpine meadows, passing Buddhist Stupas and small Gompas (monasteries). Staying in the small villages along the trail will be a highlight, allowing us an insight into Sherpa communities that call these valleys home.
After spending time looking around the many world heritage sites of Kathmandu on our return we depart for the proud and chaotic city of Kolkata, full of colour and vibrancy and Victorian era architecture. Finally we venture into little visited parts of India, remote Jarkhand state, full of colourful tribal villages and jungle covered hills. Here we visit our World Vision project and learn about the difference that WV is making in the life of the local villagers. We also visit the town of Deoghar, an important temple town and site of Hindu pilgrimmage
