Day 1 - Morning meet in Saigon. Cycle Cai Be, Boat trip. Overnight Can Tho
Day 2 - Cycle Can Tho to Long Xuyen.
Day 3 - Cycle Long Xuyen to Vinh Long
Day 4 - Cycle Vinh long to My Tho
Day 5 - Cycle My Tho. Drive to Saigon. Afternoon departure
What's It All About
With its flat, lush flood plains with emerald green paddy fields the Mekong Delta really is a landscape perfect for cycling. Crisscrossed by a tremendous array of tributaries and canals feeding water-borne traffic into the Bassac River, the sheer volume and incredible variety of boats and ships never fails to amaze. Cycling along the backwaters can be a fascinating insight into the rural way of life in this beautiful province.
We witness a real variety of riding and cultural sights as we work our way through the Delta. At times we will be cycling along busier roads and exploring larger towns. We also get off the beaten track following the small trails along canals winding through tiny villages and sprawling farmland. This trip has enormous appeal to anyone with a sense of adventure and is a worthy goal for cyclists of all levels.
